My Hannah
I want to show you my progress in the Hannah Gilpin sampler.
Finally today, I made a picture!
Suddenly I remember how addictive embroidery is. I started with the edge and sometimes there is already a letter or number in stand. In this early stage it is nice to see if the color choice is okay. So it is only the beginning of something beautiful!

Working from left to right - and getting there!
Here is the latest picture of my Hanna Gilpin. I would have made more progress on it this summer but I had an accident where my thumb got caught in a car door. So I wasn't able to stitch nearly as much as I hoped. I tried to pick up a needle right after the accident but couldn't manage it. After several weeks, I was able to hold it. Finally after two months, it feels nearly normal holding my needle!
No matter what, I love working on this project. It's hard to say when I'll be finished. But the stitching journey so far has been a very pleasant one! Maybe I should target the end of 2011 to complete. Let's hope I can make it.
I wanted to compliment Reit on her beautiful completed work and the wonderful colors she chose. She has really motivated me to spend more time on mine and not get side-tracked with so many of my other works in progress.

Ready!
My Hannah Gilpin is finished!
She is going to the Dutch craft fair end this month and after that I let framed it.
It was a pleasure to work on it.
Needleprint thank you for sharing this pattern and maybe I stitch another one!

The end is coming
After a week holiday in Sicily, I continued The Hannah Gilpin.
The letters in the middle are very difficult. You should stitch one over one.
I allways add a few and go further with the left.
I hope to finish Hannah mid September.
Regards Riet.

Stitching going smoothly
It looks like I'm making good progress even though I only spend a small amount of time on Hannah each week.
Really, I should remember to ROLL up my fabric when I take it out of the hoop. I usually fold it up but looks like I'm making creases in the fabric.
I hope to spend much more time on my sampler this summer during a planned week's vacation. There's nothing like long stretches of stitching time to restore one's balance in life!
Hope others are making good progress on their work, too. :-)
